Svalbard Axis - 2026

A 21-day autonomous ski expedition across the frozen landscapes of Svalbard focused on Arctic travel, gear testing, and visual storytelling. The team crossed glaciers, sea ice, and remote fjord systems while hauling all equipment and supplies without external support. The project combined exploration, photography, and environmental documentation in one of the harshest polar environments on Earth.

Winter Crossing Of Iceland - 2026

In March 2026, Harold starts a coast-to-coast crossing of Iceland in winter. Alone with his 60kg sled he headed South, for a 400km ski expedition. His route starts in the small town of Akureyri, followed by a brutal ascent to reach the famous highlands of Iceland. From there, an unique polar landscape surrounded by volcanoes and glaciers awaited him for the next 20 days. Iceland is known for its extreme weather. Harold knew this but was still surprised by relentless storms that pinned him in his tent for days. When he arrived at the ocean, he confirmed his love for adventure.

Goal of the expedition

The goal of the expedition is to document a solo winter crossing of Iceland while testing polar travel systems, filming the reality of highland storms, and creating educational content around self-supported winter expeditions.

Pyramiden - 2025

In April 2025, Merlin, Nicolas and Gaël skied from Longyearbyen to the abandoned Soviet town of Pyramiden located in Svalbard. They crossed remote arctic wilderness and encountered polar bears and arctic foxes. The expedition served as the foundation for a commercial campaign produced for Houdini, led creatively by Olf. Alongside the expedition, we also developed an educational workbook designed for schools, combining exploration, storytelling, and field experience into a project aimed at inspiring younger generations.

Greenland Crossing - 2024

In April/May 2024, Merlin and Olf crossed Greenland from Kangerlussuaq to Tasiilaq in 26 days, with the objective of carrying out a scientific project for the Charité Institute. Olf published a book with OPTIK CONTROL editions about this expedition. Between the endless white plateau, the visit to DYE II — an abandoned American radar station — and the constant physical effort, this book recounts the harshness of such an expedition. The expedition aimed to cross the Greenland ice sheet while supporting a scientific project, documenting the physical difficulty of the journey, and producing long-form storytelling from the field.

A high-arctic expedition built around cold, isolation, and long-distance travel above the Arctic Circle. The journey focused on remote movement, endurance, and documenting the reality of travelling through polar terrain.
