80 Degrees North
Merlin Cerise and Gaël Loicq spent 22 days on a fully self-supported ski journey in Svalbard. Out of it came the documentary 80 Degrees North, later joined by a photo book.
The film mixes adventure storytelling with the climate and geopolitical realities of the High Arctic and became material for conferences and school talks.

In March 2024, Merlin Cerise and Olf led a polar training and content-creation mission for Life Expeditions.
The expedition combined real-condition field work with the production of educational visual materials for primary schools, linked to the projects carried by the association.
This fieldwork was also part of a longer-term preparation, notably ahead of future expeditions in Greenland, consolidating technical, logistical and storytelling skills in polar environments.
The project was supported by Samaya, Expedition Foods, Vuarnet, Baffin and the International Polar Foundation, partners committed to exploration and expedition work in extreme environments.
Pyhä-Luosto with Poupie
Singer Poupie contacted us with the idea of a polar expedition to create visuals for her next album and to write for it as well.
Merlin guided her through Finland’s Pyhä-Luosto National Park over several days. Between small cabins and nights in a tent, she discovered the world of polar expedition in Finland’s snow-covered forests.
The Gates of Lapland
As part of the preparation for the Svalbard Axis expedition, Merlin Cerise and Nicolas Sanchez organised an 8-day field mission in March 2026 in Lapland, alongside two of our partners: Sunslice and Lowpact.
The immersion was designed so the sponsors could test their gear in real conditions, while discovering what makes a polar environment unique.
Beyond the technical side, the trip was also a chance to share a field experience and deepen mutual understanding between the teams and their partners in a demanding, isolated setting.
Push Reality with Bilderbuch
We handled logistics and production support for the shoot of “Push To Reality,” the music video by Austrian rock band Bilderbuch, filmed in Svalbard.
For a week, the team worked in demanding shooting conditions at the heart of the archipelago: in the fjords, on the sea ice and across the island’s wide valleys.
The mission combined field coordination, managing environmental constraints and supporting production in a polar setting that was especially technical and isolated.
